Meter readers enter readings for each unit into the Avasa app. Readings can also be imported from digital meters. Each entry is timestamped and logged.
What is the usage threshold?
The committee sets a per-unit threshold based on factors like unit size and occupancy. Consumption up to the threshold is covered by maintenance; excess is billed separately.
How is excess consumption billed?
When a unit exceeds its threshold, Avasa automatically generates an excess water bill. The amount is calculated based on the rate per kilolitre set by the committee.
Can residents see their water usage?
Yes. Every resident can view their consumption history, compare it to previous months, and see how it stacks up against the community average.
What happens if there is a leak?
Abnormal consumption spikes are flagged on the dashboard. The committee can notify the resident to investigate, potentially saving significant water and cost.
